BioDrain Medical, Inc. Announces FDA Clearance to Market the STREAMWAY™ System
BioDrain Medical, Inc. received clearance from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to market the STREAMWAY System in the U.S. for the collection and disposal of fluid waste in medical and surgical areas including operating rooms. BioDrain is now able to commence sales and marketing activities for the STREAMWAY System. The company is currently developing a domestic sales distribution channel comprised of experienced surgical sales representatives with strong relationships in the operating room.

BioDrain Medical, Inc. Introduces the STREAMWAY™ System at the 2009 AORN Congress
BioDrain Medical, Inc. achieved a significant milestone with the introduction of the new STREAMWAY System at the recent Association of periOperative Registered Nurses (AORN) Congress in Chicago, IL. Over 600 nurses visited the BioDrain Medical booth during the 3 days of exhibiting and the positive reception to the new product was overwhelming. The unique benefits of the STREAMWAY System–eliminating the need for suction canisters for operative fluid collection, as well as the handling exposure risk and associated costs–resulted in numerous requests for follow-up after the meeting. The company also sponsored the popular Advances in Operative Infectious Fluid Management Study Guide, a program through which the nurses attending the Congress can receive Continuing Education Credits.
